Hyde Restaurant & Bar, Kemang

Finally, i can managed a girls-foodie-day with one of my beloved best friend, A. It's been a while since the last time we did this. And i was so thrilled and excited about this. After some long conversations, we decided to go to Hyde, Kemang. It's been quite a hip place that most people talked about, especially for their unique dessert named Chocolate Soil.

The place itself was quite easy to find, just around the corner near Lin's Artisan Ice Cream or near Die Stube. The first thing that caught my eyes was their exterior - interior; big windows ( i love big windows!), wood table, also the earthy dominant color.

Since i got there when the sun was still at its finest, around 2PM, it was pretty warm inside although the AC was on. But the good thing is it was really bright inside, so i could get some pretty good pictures (yeaayy!)

 


We came here for lunch. We decided to skip the appetizer and straight to the mains. I asked the waitress about the detail explanation for some specific menu but she couldn't explain well (hmm..). After struggling for some time, i ordered White Salmon Fettuccine and Peach Ice Tea, while A had Stuffed Chicken Breast and Strawberry Ice Tea.

 They use fruit syrup to give flavor to the tea. For me, my peach ice tea didn't taste as peachy as i like although i poured almost all of the syrup.
White Salmon (75k)
  Pasta with fresh Norwegian salmon and wilted spinach served in creamy sauce.You can choose the pasta for this menu. Pasta was al dente, salmon was fresh, but i'm not a fan of their creamy sauce.  
Stuffed Chicken Breast (89k)
 Pan glazed cumin scented stuffed chicken breast served with mashed potato and salad. The chicken itself stuffed with some kind of spinach mixture. This was so-so to me.

I'm a fan of their beautiful exterior - interior, but the food was just so-so. I hope i just picked the wrong menu. And i think they need to improve their service. Going back? Well, maybe to try their dessert.

It's me again!! Gatau lagi udah berapa dasawarsa kutinggalkan dunia blog ini. Union: Union made is well made they said

It was a Thursdate with my two dancing mates, S and N. Masing-masing berangkat dari kantor dan janjian ketemu di Union, Plaza Senayan. Tempat hangout super hype selama 2tahun terakhir ini. Dan emang dasar kalo gak macet namanya bukan Jakartam it took almost more than 30 minutes for N to get to Plaza Senayan from Ratu Plaza. I was the first to arrive from the three of us, and FYI i was on time, got there by exactly 6.30PM. And as always, Union was full almost every time i went there, so even i already made the reservation for 6.30PM, i still have to wait around 30 minutes to get my table. Selalu suka sama atmosphere disini. Sebelumnya kesini selalu sore sekitar jam 3an, tp yang kali ini dateng pas jam dinner (dimana kalau di Union, setiap jam lunch dan dinner diharuskan untuk reservasi terlebih dahulu) dan ternyata suasana malam bikin suasana di Union jadi tambah romantis. Bandung trip #day 3 - Fabrik Eatery & Bar

3rd day in Bandung, also our last day. Paginya memutuskan untuk cari sarapan di sekitar hotel barengan I dan Mr, dan kemudian I ngajakin makan kupat tahu di pinggir jalan, dekat alfamart sekitaran hotel. Gerobaknya sebelahan sama bubur ayam. I dan Mr ini asalnya dari Bogor dan mereka sudah biasa makan kupat tahu ini, sedangkan saya sendir have no idea about that kind of food. Yang saya tau ya ketoprak atau ketupat sayur. But then i'm willing to try this new dish. Setelah memesan, tampilan kupat tahu itu mirip ketoprak, cuma rasa bumbu kacangnya asin. Isi dari kupat tahu itu sendiri ketupat, tahu, tauge, disiram bumbu kacang dan diberi kerupuk. Sayangnya ternyata lidah saya kurang cocok dengan makanan ini. Kalau menurut Mr, kupat tahu ini lumayan, tp katanya ada yang lebih enak. Ya mungkin lain kali saya harus coba yang di tempat yang direkomendasi Mr. Tapi yang ini kurang enak kalau menurut saya.
